New Physician Search in 2016
The College is updating its online Physician Search tool. For the past several months, development of the new tool has been underway
with the aim of providing a more complete and accessible record of each physician licensed to practise medicine in Nova Scotia.
Additions to the new Physician Search tool will include information such as: disciplinary and licence histories. The new Physician
Search will be rolled out in phases throughout 2016.
Please note that disciplinary decisions rendered by an Investigations or Hearing Committee of the College will continue to be
posted on the College’s
website as soon as they become available.

Directions: Enter ANY of the criteria
below and then click on "Search".
Note to physicians: The Physician Search is updated daily using information provided by the physicians. Third-party
information is not accepted. Entries have been checked but errors and omissions may occur. Members are asked to
inform the College of any inaccuracies or omissions using the Notification of Change form.
Note to patients: Inclusion in this listing does not mean that a physician is accepting new patients. The Nova Scotia Department of Health
helps individuals find family practitioners who are accepting new patients. For more information, visit Family Physicians Accepting New Patients
on the Nova Scotia Department of Health website or call (902) 424-3047. Due to high demand, the Department may not be able to respond immediately to patient
requests. Patients who are experiencing urgent health problems should contact their nearest hospital emergency department.
* Note: Specialists do not ordinarily see patients without a referral from a family physician.
